Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this real?
A: Yes...100%.

Q: How does it taste?
A: Incredible. Our sodas are gourmet, out of this world good and our patent pending modified brewing process is capable of producing the same great tasting beer as a standard brewing process... without the water. As long as you add good tasting (potable) water to the concentrate (and carbonate appropriately)... these beverages will stand beside the very best.

Q: How concentrated is it?
A: Very. However, not all beers have the same percent alcohol concentration. Therefore, a higher alcohol content beer will appear less concentrated because there remains a larger volume of alcohol present after most of the water has been removed. Conversely, lower alcohol beer will appear much more concentrated, because in its natural state it contains a higher percentage of water. Our process does not result in a beer that is 100% void of water. It does however, result in a beer with nearly no water content.

Our sodas on the other hand are concentrated to approximately a 1:10 ratio (concentrate: finished beverage)

Q: How do you carbonate it?
A: We recommend using our Pat’s Backcountry™ Carbonator. It is ultra lightweight, compact, and easy to use.

Q: How do I get some?
A: We are very close to having our sodas and carbonators available through our online store. We’ll also be updating our “store locator” page after our product lauch.

Q: When will it be available?
A: Our carbonator and soda concentrates will be available very soon. We are still actively pursuing financing for our brewing operation, and as such it will be longer until we are able to go into production with these concentrates.

Q: Is this just for backcountry use?
A: No. Backcountry use was just the catalyst to create the process and products. The potential for these beverages reaches far beyond the backcountry. They require less energy to produce, less to ship/transport, and are better for the environment. Consider the global implications and let your imagination wander for a moment.
