Pat's Backcountry Soda's are the most environmentally, nutritionally, and socially responsible sodas on earth. When we sat down to build them, we started with a simple question:
"If I could take a soda backpacking...What would it be like"?
The answer:
- It needs to be ultra light weight and compact so that it travels anywhere
- It needs to have fewer calories, and a toned down level of sweetness for an active lifestyle
- It needs to have absolutely no artificial sweeteners or flavors
- It needs to have more than "empty calories". It needs nutritional benefits, or "constructive calories"
- It should have only the best ingredients that are socially and environmentally responsible.
Each 1.42 fl oz packet of Pat's Backcountry gourmet soda concentrate makes a 16 oz serving. Just mix the concentrate with water, and carbonate with one of our Pat's Backcountry™ Carbonators.
Our gourmet soda concentrates are made with:
- Organic Fair trade Cane Juice
- All Natural Flavors
- Fortified With : Vitamin C,B3,B5, B6,B12, and Folic Acid
- Absolutely No Preservatives
Here are the flavors:
Pat's Backcountry™ Cola - So good that we proudly place the Pat's name on it. You'll appreciate its gourmet profile with undeniable cinnamon over tones. It's smooth, refreshing, and well balanced. Whether you're up on the mountain, taking a break from the trail, or enjoying a cocktail around the campfire, this cola is going to bring you right back to the creature comforts you crave when you're in the backcountry.
Pomagranate Cola - Pomegranate meets Pat's Backcountry™ Cola in a mind blowing taste explosion. Who would have guessed that these two strangers would create such beautiful music together? It must have been fate. Okay...we admit it. We tried cherry. In fact we started with cherry, but it turned out that Pom was the bomb. Who would have thunk it? In fact, cherry cola is yesterday's news around here. Try it. You won't regret it!
Lemon Lime - Two naturals that have lived in peaceful tranquility together for a really long time. You will appreciate the bold citrus flavors that converge harmoniously in creating this crisp and defined thirst quenching bend of bold citrus flavors that converge harmoniously in creating this crisp and defined thirst quenching blend of bold citrus... ah... Sorry, lost my train of thought for a moment. It's that good!
Root Beer - This was a tricky little beverage, and took us a while to perfect. Those rich black liquorish undertones just kept taunting and teasing us. We walked a fine line but managed to bring it right to the limit without crossing over to the dark side. We're pretty fond of this one, and if you've got a discriminating pallet for perfection... we're sure you will be too.
Pomegranate - Black Berry - Black Cherry - Three classic fruits that we happen to believe combine together to make quite a tasty beverage. Left to her own accord, we think that Mother Nature would have gotten around to blending these flavors herself, but we didn't feel like waiting that long. Getting the right balance of each took a little trial and error, but our efforts were well worth it and we've got a delicious and refreshing cocktail blend to show for it. We're sure you'll agree.
Ginger Ale - We've got to warn you. This is not the quietly subdued ginger ale that they throw at you on an airplane. Oh no. This one has a little extra kick to it. We're not talking jalapeño, run for the water, eat some saltine crackers hot. It's just that we threw in a pretty healthy dose of ginger (what a novel idea?) to make sure you didn't forget what you were drinking. When you use great ingredients it's hard to go wrong. You'll understand why we call this the "holy grail of ginger ale" when you try it! You can even try it in a grail if you like. But, if you find one that's holy please let us know. We think that would be cool.
***Note***
We are in the final stage of "shelf stability study" for each of our debut gourmet flavor concentrates. Once this phase has been completed we will launch production, making each flavor available through our online store.
